Modern antiques

My father is an antiques collector, which is where my interest for antiques comes from. This work, the acid green clock, features a clock from around 1900 that I restored myself. I specifically chose to use the colour acid green, as this colour is extremely unusual to be used on a clock this old.
All things considered, this combination should have been impossible, which is what makes this clock so very interesting for me. I want it to be a statement about the fact that these days you can make just about anything, the technical and materialistic possibilities are endless.

Also, I have been wanting to paint an antique clock in a colour like this for a long time, it had been on my mind for quite a while.
